Student Success EPT Action Team
During the 2008-09 academic year, the Student Success Action Team will focus on:
· What interventions are in place and can be used to reach the students who are not making progress toward graduation because of their grade point average?
· What are barriers that may affect students who are at risk of probation/suspension (e.g., deferment, etc.)?
· How can we use existing measures of academic progress/success (e.g., Early Warning, AFYS 101 grades, Satisfactory Academic Progress) as an indication that a student is at risk of probation/suspension?
3. Identifying issues or discrepancies between Satisfactory Academic Progress (as defined for a student’s financial aid and/or scholarships) and Academic Standing (probation and suspension).
4. Reviewing the First Pace program, receiving regular updates on the program and former and current First Pace participants.
