G. L. Toole Chair in English
Current Recipient: Dr. Stephen Gardner

Awarded to a faculty member in the discipline of English with an emphasis on teaching either American or British literature.
Ione Wells Hanly/Bank of America Chair in Nursing
Current Recipient: Dr. Maggie Dorsey

Endowment shall be used to attract and retain productive faculty scholars who are making substantial contributions to the intellectual life of USC Aiken.
John & Mary P. Grew Chair in American Studies
Current Recipient: Dr. Robert Botsch

Awarded to a productive scholar and teacher, who is making or will make substantial contributions to the intellectual and instructional life of USC Aiken in the area of American Studies, which may include, but is not limited to, United States history, literature, politics, government, culture, fine arts, language, theology, science and natural history.
John M. Olin Palmetto Professorship in Entrepreneurial Development
Current Recipient: Dr. Leanne McGrath

Award is utilized to attract and retain productive faculty scholars who are making or show promise of making substantial contributions to the intellectual life of South Carolina in the area of Entrepreneurial Development.
The June Rainsford Henderson Chair
 Current Recipient: Dr. James Farmer

Awarded to a faculty member who holds rank in the USC Aiken History Department and will specialize in the history of this immediate region or the southern United States.
Mary Toole Chair of Art Fund
Current Recipient: Dr. Michael Fowler

Awarded to a Professor of Art who has achieved distinction through teaching or creative achievement in the areas of landscape or portrait painting, art history, or some combination thereof.
Mr. & Mrs. Phinizy Timmerman Chair in Enterprise Development
Current Recipient: Dr. J. Ralph Byington

Funds shall be used to attract or retain a productive faculty scholar in business or one with a joint appointment in business and education, who is making substantial contributions to the intellectual life of USC Aiken.
Polly F. O'Connell Chair in Fine Arts
Current Recipient: Dr. Richard Maltz

Awarded to a productive scholar in the fine arts, which includes theater, music, art or dance, who is making or will make substantial contributions to the intellectual life of USC Aiken.

SCANA Chair in Physical Sciences
Current Recipient: Dr. Allen Dennis


Awarded to a faculty member with appropriate credentials in any of the Physical Sciences at USC Aiken and will emphasize the principles concerned with the generation and conservation of energy.       

School of Business Administration Chair in Global Business
Current Recipient: Dr. David Harrison


Award is utilized to further the efforts of the School of Business as demonstrated by promoting academic efforts in global business through programs such as Study Abroad Programs, Support for International Students and International Faculty Support.

Strom Thurmond Chair in Political Science

Award is utilized to attract or retain a productive faculty scholar in Political Science or History, who is making substantial contributions to the intellectual life of USC Aiken.

Thomas F. Maurice Chair in Fine Arts
Current Recipient: Professor Jack Benjamin


Endowment shall be used to attract and retain productive faculty scholars who are making substantial contributions to the intellectual life of USC Aiken.

USC Aiken Chair in Neuroscience or Surgical Nursing Endowment Fund
Current Recipient: Dr. Patricia Cook


Award is utilized to attract or retain a productive faculty scholar by supporting innovative teaching or scholarship in neuroscience and/or surgical nursing.

Walter F. O'Connell Palmetto Professorship
Current Recipient: Dr. Richard Heiens


Award is utilized to attract and retain productive faculty scholars who are making or show promise of making substantial contributions to the intellectual life of South Carolina. Awarded to the faculty member who serves as the Director of the O'Connell Center for Excellence and Technology (OCET).
