Faculty
Members of our faculty are
some of the most qualified in the state of South Carolina. Their top priority
is teaching the students. We have 122 full-time faculty members with
82% holding the highest degree in their academic area. In an effort to
ensure that faculty and students develop good working relationships, our
classes average 18 students in a class and our student/faculty ratio is
16:1. English 101 enrollment is capped at 20 so students can receive more
individual assistance.
What academic programs are available?
USC Aiken offers a wide variety of programs, including bachelor degrees
in more than 25 majors, a Master of Education Degree in Elementary
Education or Educational Technology, and Master of Science Degree in Applied
Clinical Psychology. To learn more about our majors and degree requirements, click

We also have a way for students to enhance their degree: The
USC Aiken Honors Program. Academically well-qualified and highly
motivated students participate in special assignments in their regular classes
through an approved Honors Contract. Completion of four Honors Contracts allows
students to be recognized at graduation for being in the Honors Program.
