Text Box: Department of Biology and Geology Text Box: Welcome to the Jackson Lab! The purpose of this site is to provide a resource for students currently involved in research in my laboratory. It is also an important source of information for those wishing to complete their undergraduate research in an area of molecular biology.     Our main area of research is the use of hammerhead ribozymes as agents to inhibit replication of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-1). Another of our interests is in developing gene therapy vectors for use in delivery of ribozyme reagents.      If you are just visiting, please feel free to take a look around.
