We expect to find some degree of total petroleum hydrocarbons(TPH) present in the non-point source runoff. The concentrations and total amounts found may be somewhat less in the summer months as compared to the spring and fall semesters where more automobile traffic is occupying the campus parking lots. The collected data should be sufficient to produce graphs comparing rainfall to the concentration of TPH which will allow us to estimate the total amount of TPH entering the surrounding environment. In addition to petroleum hydrocarbons, coliform bacteria, nitrate, phosphate, and copper concentrations will also be tested.
