BS Clinical Laboratory Science


Our Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science provides a regional professional program for USC Aiken biology majors who are interested in an allied health career in a medical laboratory setting, providing the information and services needed for the diagnosis and treatment of disease.   Clinical laboratory scientists perform, develop, evaluate, correlate and assure accuracy and validity of laboratory information, direct and supervise clinical laboratory resources and operations and collaborate in the diagnosis and treatment of patients (NAACLS).  The BSCLS degree is offered in collaboration with the University Health Care System in Augusta, Georgia, where the professional clinical component of the program is offered.
