Serenity
Jason Reynolds

The cold black sea.
Waves crashing on an invisible shore;
Sounds of reeds rustling behind me;
Tide pools sit,
Patiently waiting.
Stars wink at the moon,
As he commands the sea.
Time stands still,
And I drift.
Wrapped in the arms of a gentle breeze.
A crab beside me.
Watching,
Waiting to see,
What the cocoon,
Of wind and sea,
Will bring out in me.
Serenity.
