prayer for the present
Father, help us through these trouble times. Sadly,
we live in a time when Your world is consistently plagued by defeat. These
are times when pain and suffering are plentiful; when peace and prosperity
are rare; when new life fails to make up for the loss of another. These
are times when starvation, abomination, and war are ways of life in many
places. These are times when lives are cut short due to acts of love, fear,
and hate. Father, show us that all hope will never be lost. Show us that
the sun will continue to shine, even on rainy days. Show us the way to
live Your will so that this world, Your world, can be positively impacted.
