Innocence
Debra Charles

Innocence bestowed upon her a kiss,
Like a breath of roses it left her
Blushing and taken aback.
Her cheeks flamed red and her mouth
Stood slightly ajar - a whisper escaped
Into the air floating softly across
The room.
Her eyes closed tightly
And her head tilted slightly in expectance,
She lifted her hand and her long slender
Finger felt the air - tracing her feelings
With invisible words.
Kissed, and loved; left, but still innocent,
She fell into her fantasy:
Ever to be innocent, forever to be loved.
