"El Cielo Rojo"
("The Red Sky")
Section 2 of 2
I lay beside him in the field
Where we've made love many times,
Tonight's the night are fate was sealed
And sealed am I in his arms.
When I'm lost, I can find myself
Within his beautiful eyes,
No matter what the problem dealt,
By him it meets its demise.
I am safe in his gentle hands
Pulling me to him closer,
No other place in any lands,
Not any house, nor cloister.
His back, strong to carry the weight
If I cannot bear to take
The burdensome dealings of Fate
He'd accept all for my sake.
His Tree of Life pierces my soul
Like no other's done before,
On me, his Tree has taken its toll,
He has soothed me to my core.
His roots sown to his swaying waist
That roll like the ocean's tide,
To and Fro, up and down, it graced
The Flower I have inside.
Through his brindled hair stroke my fingers
Down the nape of his neck.
On to his back, y hands linger,
Touching each inch of its breadth.
The nails of mine flow like a river
Up and down a stream they run,
Every scratch makes him gently quiver
And I know I am the one.
As my Flower's for him only,
And only for me his Tree.
Together we've sworn our lives to be,
Just me and him, him and me.
A life will be made through our love
Both outside the flesh and in
When it comes we'll thank God above
For the new gift He's given.
But tonight in his arms I lie
At peace and calm 'neath the moon.
Close to him, I can rest my eyes,
For the sun will rise too soon.
It always does, it never fails,
For it to rise 'fore its due.
"It is okay," his whisper tells
My ear, then my soul is soothed.
And so with a breath, I just sighed
'Cause he said, I know it so,
And I lay here now by his side
Watching rise "El Ceilo Rojo."
