A Hundred Oceans
Melissa Kolmar
Your fingers tangle in the fish nets
Of your childhood
As wings spasm and stretch
Beyond your shoulderblades.
When you come into my dreams
You bring with you the cool sharp smell of dawn,
The salty taste of the sea.
You entwine you tangled nets
Tightly over my heart
And kiss away the tears,
Your wings shading me from grief.
