The Office of Career Services at the University of South Carolina Aiken is available to assist all USCA students with their career-related concerns -- choosing a college major, choosing a career, career planning, experiential learning and job search.
The mission of the Office of Career Services (OCS) is to assist all USCA students and alumni with their career -related concerns -- selecting a rewarding college major, choosing a fulfilling career, career planning, experiential learning and job search. Realizing that career planning is a life long process, our objective is to teach effective self-assessment and skill development that will aid students and alumni in their pursuit of career goals. The OCS advises students to get involved early in the career planning process and assists them in taking charge of their career future through self-empowerment; therefore, it is the goal of the OCS to work in partnership with faculty, staff, and community towards overall student development. Other components of our office's mission are posting of on-campus student employment positions and responsibility for the campus-wide segment of student employment training. Along with providing quality services, as a member of the Enrollment Services Division, Career Services strives to assist with the attraction and retention of all students. |
