| Want to know more about Career Panels? |
Our popular Career
Panels programs offers local professionals an opportunity
to speak to USCA students about their field or their
organization. Career Panels is not a recruiting event,
but a forum to give students information about specific
careers. However, this event does provide a valuable
opportunity to network with future job candidates. This
program is held during the Fall Semester.
Overview
Each panel consists
of 3-5 panelists, each of whom will be asked to speak
for 5-8 minutes on the following:
- A brief overview
of his/her career history, including: college major,
degree(s), title, responsibilities, and length
of time in profession.
- Most challenging
aspects of of his/her occupation
- Critical skills
and abilities necessary in their profession
- Advice to students
on how to prepare themselves for this profession. Each
panel discussion will be followed by a question
and answer period.

| What
is Career Day? |
| USCA's annual career fairs offer
employers a chance to interact directly with USCA students,
meet prospective employees and an opportunity to increase
your visibility on campus and in the community. Our career
fairs have often been our best avenue for bringing employers
and students together. |
| All interested
employers are invited to send one or more representatives
to set up and staff an information and display table in
order to answer questions and provide company literature
and applications for employment.. This event provides an
opportunity for you to meet and talk with USCA students,
faculty and staff regarding your organization and employment
needs, such as permanent, part-time, internship and co-op
positions. |
We
encourage all interested USCA students to attend Career
Day -- freshmen through graduate students, both traditional
and non-traditional ages -- some of whom are exploring
careers and gathering career information. In addition
to meeting you, we will also be encouraging students
who are interested in employment to consider leaving
resumes with you.
This event takes place during Spring
Semester. The cost to participate in this event
is $50.00. Each registration fee helps to cover expenses
incurred to conduct the event, such as administrative,
refreshment and advertising costs. Lunch is also
provided for representatives. |
