Carole Anne Taylor, M. Ed.
Counselor and Alcohol & Other Drug Programmer

Carole Anne Taylor is our Counselor and AOD (Alcohol/Other Drug) Programmer in the Counseling Center. Originally a native of North Augusta, Taylor earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and a Masters in Counseling from the University of Georgia. She spent five years in Huntsville Alabama working for the Huntsville Mental Health Center in their alcohol/drug treatment center and outpatient department. Taylor then worked as a therapist for the Women’s Resource Center at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. At that time, she obtained licensure in Alabama as a Licensed Practical Counselor as well as her certification as a specialist in trauma while serving faculty, staff, and students who were victims of childhood abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault. While working with victims of abuse, Taylor began teaching self-defense classes and eventually went to work as an officer for the University of Alabama Police Department for three years before moving to Aiken.
