Connections Award winners, Spring 2017

The Center for Research Excellence is pleased to announce the 2017/2018 Connections award winners. Each $500 award is made to support undergraduate research/creative activities under the mentor-ship of a USC Aiken faculty member. Amanda Askins, a sophomore biology major working with Dr. Nathan Hancock, was awarded for her proposal entitled Developing an activation tagging system for gene discovery in wheat. Emily Jones, a senior sociology major working with Dr. Michelle Petrie, was awarded for her proposal entitled Autism spectrum resources in the community of the CSRA. Hannah Martin, a senior Exercise and Sports Science major working with Dr. Brian Parr, was awarded for her proposal entitled The effects of simulated versus actual resistance training on strength.
