UofSC Aiken has launched a national search for its next chancellor. The university is working with Academic Search, with support from their Senior Consultant Virginia S. Horvath, Ph.D. in the conduct of this search, under the guidance of President Robert Caslen of the University of South Carolina system.


The Opportunity

The University of South Carolina Aiken in Aiken, South Carolina seeks a visionary and strategic leader committed to excellence and equity to serve as the fifth chancellor of this highly ranked institution. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented and accomplished executive leader with significant potential to shape and advance the future of higher education in the Central Savannah River Area and to further enhance the relationship of the university to the city, the county and its neighbors in close-in Georgia.

The new Chancellor will be selected by USC President Robert Caslen and is expected to take office by July 1, 2021.

As the search progresses, we will periodically update content on this page. UofSC Aiken faculty and staff, students, and community stakeholders were previously invited to listening sessions with the search firm consultants and participate in an initial survey to assist in recruiting and selecting the next Chancellor.
