My goal with this site is to provide you with information regarding my current efforts and interests in teaching and research at USC-Aiken.


IN THE NEWS...


  • Dr. Leverette was selected as the recipient of the 2010 South Carolina Governor's Professor of the Year award. This award follows Dr. Leverette's selection as the 2010 USCA Scholarly Activity Award recipient and the 2009 recipient of the USCA Excellence in Teaching Award.

  • The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded Dr. Leverette (PI) and 2 other USCA scientists with the coveted NSF-Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) award totaling $264, 821 for 3 years to purchase a state-of-the-art Raman microscope for the analysis of novel materials and biological samples.

  • Dr. Leverette's research student, Ms. Michelle Killian earned several honors this past Spring. She was selected as the 2010 USCA Outstanding Student and the 2010 Outstanding Chemistry Student. She also won "Best Undergraduate Research Award" for her session at the SC Academy of Science meeting in Charleston.
