Travel ProgramsThe Office of Continuing Education offers a wide variety of travel programs. Please select a trip below for more information. PLEASE NOTE: Walking is a large part of any travel experience. In fact, it’s one of the best ways to get to all of the spots you will want to see! If you have health problems or limited mobility, we recommend that you see your physician prior to making plans to join us on any trip. Take a walk on the artsy side! We’ll explore the Atlanta art scene from the traditional to the not so, from the Michelangelo to the Mike L. Angelo (don’t drive yourself crazy trying to figure out if Mike is a real artist – he is NOT). It’s an adventure in learning, an adventure in having fun, and an adventure in walking that your tennis shoes will never forgive you for if they miss it. Date:
September 23 Dirty Rotten Scoundrels We’re not talking about your neighbors kids, it’s a play. And it’s in Atlanta. And we have your ticket and your ride. We have made lunch reservations for you, and invited a great group of people to accompany you. Now all we need is . . . YOU! You deserve a day of ear-to-ear smiles, so join us for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Date:
November 4 (Saturday) WASHINGTON DC Field of Stars – WWII Memorial Laid to rest in service to our country; a simple statement with significance to all. With the new WWII Memorial completed, this is your opportunity to visit our Capital’s Memorials and pay your respects to those who have sacrificed to insure our freedoms. We will have an itinerary that will include most of the traditional sites in the D.C. area and leave time for you to wonder on your own.
Date:
November 9 – November 13 NEW YORK Top of the Rock Visit during the day to see the splendor of the city unfold beneath you or visit at night and see the city sparkle . . . either way, there is nothing like New York City at Christmas time. Rather it’s shopping at Saks, taking in a play, ice skating in Central Park, or seeing the City from the “top of the Rock”, this trip will definitely make Christmas 2006 one to remember.
