Disability Services Coordinator

Barb Riverdahl

 Barb oversees the provision of accommodations to USC Aiken students with disabilities. She also provides training and education on accommodations and Universal Design in the classroom for faculty and staff, including the incorporation of assistive technology in campus classrooms, computer labs, and university housing. Barb serves as a liaison between the Office of Disability Services, the USC Aiken campus, and community groups and organizations, and in this role, she establishes and maintains ongoing networks. She works with various community organizations to develop strategic informational and/or educational programs for individuals who seek insight to fulfill their goals.
 

Assistive Technology Center Supervisor

Sandra Sanders

Sandra supervises the operation of the Assistive Technology Center, a facility that offers accessible computer lab equipment and software for registered DS students. The ATC staff provide training and education in the use of assistive technology. Sandra oversees Exam Proctoring Services, which includes test scheduling and proctoring. This service is available when instructors are unable to provide student accommodations due to time and space restrictions. Sandra also coordinates Alternative Media services for students requiring alternate formats of printed class materials.
