Curriculum
After completion of core courses, students may select electives that will address their particular focus. Elective courses will include topics such as instructional design, technology leadership, instructional technology research, media management, and facilities planning. Applicants enter the program after completion of at least the bachelor's degree and will complete a minimum of 36 semester credit hours for the Masters degree. In lieu of a comprehensive exam, the culminating activity for the program is an electronic portfolio which demonstrates the student's growth in knowledge, skills, and dispositions related to educational technology. Students also are expected to make presentations at professional conferences in order to communicate best practices related to applying appropriate technology resources.
All course offerings will be delivered from only one campus, though students on both campuses will enroll in the courses. The program is now entirely web-based.
