Comprehensive Science Title

Candidates seeking certification in Secondary Science Education – Comprehensive Science will be certified to teach science at the high school or grades 9-12 level. Each candidate receives a broad general education background and preparation, including a research project, in biological, physical, and earth/space science. The candidates are required to complete at least 100 hours of clinical experience at the secondary level prior to their internship. The program meets the standards established for Secondary Science Education – General by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA).
