The Education Major’s Club was established for the purpose of:
enhancing professional development as future educators.
serving as a vehicle for disseminating information from the faculty to the Education Majors and vice versa.
providing professional and social interaction between the majors and the faculty.
encouraging on-campus and off-campus community service projects.
At its core, the Education Majors Club promotes and facilitates professionalism. Part of being a professional educator is aggressively seeking external opportunities to both personally and professionally grow. One way in which to grow is to become part of the engaged and informed educational community. Pre-service teachers can do this by attending conferences or select workshops.
Member Responsibilities
Throughout the year, the EMC will be holding seminars and workshops as well as inviting guest speakers on campus. These opportunities are only available to EMC members. Though not required, it is expected that EMC members will attend such professional development opportunities.
Membership Dues
The annual membership fee for the EMC is $10.00.
