Kay Hanson is an Instructor in Special Education at the University of South Carolina Aiken (USCA). She is in the process of completing her Ph.D. at the University of Michigan. She received her M.A. in Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of Southern California (l971) and her B.A. from California Lutheran University (l969). She has taught previously at California State University at Los Angeles and California Lutheran University. Her professional career has included working in public schools, private non-profit schools, clinics, and hospital settings. Her research interests include the intersection of language and literacy for preschool and early elementary children.
