Audrey Skrupskelis is an Associate Professor of Elementary Education at the University of South Carolina Aiken. Prior to coming to USCA she has worked as a coordinator of a parenting project in the Allendale School District. Teaching experience includes 14 years as a K5 teacher. At the USCA School of Education she serves as the coordinator of the M.Ed. in Elementary Education. She is an active member of the International Organization for the Child’s Right to Play (IPA) and is currently a member of the IPA Council as a national representative from USA. She is current president of the American Affiliate to IPA. (IPA/USA). Her research interests include the role of play in language development and historical perspectives of education. During the summers, she regularly teaches graduate courses at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania, and does consulting with the Ministry of Education for Kaunas school District.
