Education Majors are required to pass all three sections (math, writing, and reading) of the Praxis I Pre-Professional Skills Test before being admitted to the professional program. Applicants who have an 1100 on the 2-part SAT, 1650 on the 3-part SAT, or 24 on the ACT are exempt from taking the Praxis I exam. The Praxis II Subject Area Exams must be passed before entering internship and the PLT exam must be passed before graduation. The School of Education office must receive passing Praxis II scores by July 20th for those students who plan on interning in the fall and December 15th for those planning on interning in the spring. Official passing PLT scores must be received by the School of Education office by December 1st for fall interns and May 1st for spring interns.
