Master’s Degree in Educator Leadership

GOALS

The Master’s Degree in Educator Leadership prepares educators to take on a variety of leadership roles in their buildings or districts. The program is intended to (1) develop administrative skills such as management, supervision and decision-making but also will focus on preparing school leaders to be instructional leaders, and (2) improve instruction and in turn improve student learning.

HOURS: 36 semester hours

ADD ON CERTIFICATIONS or ENDORSEMENTS

  • Teacher Leader endorsement (all graduates)
  • ESOL, Project based Learning, Gifted & Talented, Online Teaching, ECE Special Education, Read to Succeed Teacher (depending on elective coursework chosen)

CULMINATING PROJECT: Action Research project

Master’s Degree in Educational Technology

GOALS

The Master’s Degree in Educational Technology is intended (1) to prepare educators to assume leadership roles in the integration of educational technology into the school curriculum, and (2) to provide graduate-level instructional opportunities for several populations (e.g., classroom teachers, corporate trainers, educational software developers) that need to acquire both technological competencies and understanding of sound instructional design principles and techniques.

HOURS: 36 semester hours

  • Online Teaching (for teachers who already hold South Carolina Teacher Licensure)

CULMINATING PROJECT: Electronic Portfolio
