Introduction to People with Exceptionalities (AEDX
400) surveys the development of special education; current legal guidelines with
emphasis on public school mandates; various
clusters of exceptionalities, their definitions, classification, identification,
prevalence, causes, characteristics, education needs; and inclusion of students
with exceptionalities within the general education classroom.
Announcements1. If you would like extra credit, please see Dr. Lisk to volunteer for the Special Olympics. The Special Olympics will be at Midland Valley High School April 28-30. 2. Our next meeting is May 4th at 5:00 pm for the final. I will post the study guide for the exam on April 27.
