Lynne Austin Rhodes earned her B.A. in English at Clemson University in 1976, her M.A. in English at Clemson in 1979, and her Ph.D. in English / Composition and Rhetoric at USC Columbia in 1996.
A specialist in writing assessment and writing across the curriculum, Dr. Rhodes has written on portfolio assessment and presented at numerous conferences on various aspects of writing assessment and disciplinary writing.
Dr. Rhodes teaches freshman composition, technical writing, advanced composition, and the rhetoric of science. She also directs the USCA Junior Writing Portfolio Assessment, and is a primary instructor of AEGL 201, which instructs students in writing across the general education curriculum and in diverse disciplinary genres.
Dr. Rhodes is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, Writing Program Administrators, and the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing.
