Athletic Task Force Meeting            

December 9, 2004

Present:  Jo Cunningham, Dru Nix, Jerry Snyder, Neil Berment,  Kim Wood Woeber, Bill Claxon, Ahmed Samaha,  Bob Botsch, Deb Kladivko, Dr. Hallman, Angie Osbon, Randy Warrick, Jim Kauffman,  Tim Hall, Connie Pritchard, Randy Duckett

Dr. Botsch began the meeting by presenting the Competitiveness Action Team report. The presentation of 23 recommendations and discussion took place from 3:10- 7:00.

After the presentation, Randy distributed a document which included all recommendations as presented from each Action Team and some additional thoughts/issues raised by committee members.  As homework for the January 18^th meeting, he asked all members to re-read the reports, and study the recommendations.  Since the recommendations presented thus far are from Action teams, the issues have simply been put on the table for further discussion and decision making by the Athletic Task Force.   It will be our task to determine if we agree with the recommendations as suggested, whether or not we need additional information, additional debate, or determine that it is simply not worthy of being a recommendation. 

He stated that he hoped to have the final Action Team (Community Impact) report by the next meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m..

Next meeting will be Tuesday, January 18^th – 3-7.  Please note the extra hour….
