Athletic Task Force Meeting

March 15, 2005

Members Present: 

Jo Cunningham, Dr. Kim Wood Woeber, Dr. Bob Botsch,  Jerry Snyder, Neil Berment, Randy Duckett, Dr. Bill Claxon, Angie Osbon, Dr. Tom Hallman

The meeting began at 4:10 pm.  The Chancellor stated that he had read and reviewed the report several times.  He indicated that some of the recommendations confirmed what he had suspected, while others challenged some of his thoughts.  He thanked each of the members for their efforts and indicated that he was very pleased with the document.  He said he felt that it would provide some priorities and direction, and he would respond to the recommendations after consulting others. He had several questions and sought additional information from Task Force members.

The Chancellor asked the co-chairs to send a copy of the report to Randy Warrick, Director of Athletics and Dr. Kladivko, Vice-Chancellor for Student Life and Services.  He also asked that the other Athletic Task Force Resource members receive a copy of the report.  He then asked that the report be made available to all faculty and staff via the USCAlist. 

The meeting was adjourned at 4:50 pm.
