Action Team Charge 2006-07
The Freshman Admissions Action Team is charged in 2006-07 with the following:
- Assess the impact of changing SAT score requirements, to include a
higher
SAT/ACT minimum, inclusion of the writing score, minimum section scores on
math or critical reading; report findings to EPT in March 2007. - Work with the Strategic Enrollment Plan Team to develop recruitment
targets for
freshmen entering in Fall 2008.

The College Board has overhauled the SAT, with adjustments to the Math and Critical Reading (formerly Verbal) sections and the addition of a mandatory Writing section with an essay component. On March 24, 2005, the Freshman Admission Team sponsored a presentation to the USC Aiken community by Mr. Tony Pace, Senior Educational Manager for The College Board. Action Team Charge 2005-06
The Freshman Admissions Action Team is charged in 2005-06 with the following:
- Set goals for the freshman class in terms of its size and shape, including diversity along lines of gender, race/ethnicity, socio-economic status, geography; and quality, including targeted proportions of students from high/low quality high schools, and those with high/low test scores, high/low HS grades or class rank, high/low other talents (athletics, fine arts, community service, etc.).
- Provide outreach to other USCA constituencies to both collect feedback in the goal setting process and fostering buy-in once goals are developed.
