The University of South Carolina Aiken Veteran Affairs
Office welcomes veterans and/or their qualified dependants
and is committed to helping them use their VA education
benefits.
Those eligible to receive VA education benefits are:
- Active Duty Service Members
- Members of he National Guard & Selected Reserve
Units (Chapter 1606)
- Veterans (Chapter 30)
- Children & Spouses of disabled veterans or veterans
who died in the line of duty (Chapter 35)
- Members of the Veterans Rehabilitation Program
(Chapter 31)
Eligible VA Students must have completed formal USCA
admission requirements. Additional paperwork will be
required depending on the type VA benefits the student
is requesting. After the appropriate paperwork has
been submitted to the Veterans Affairs Coordinator,
it is then submitted to the VA Regional Office for
processing. The Veterans Administration will make the
final decision regarding approval of payments for students
to attend classes. Applications for VA benefits can
take up to nine weeks to process at the Regional Office
in Atlanta, so APPLY EARLY.
