  • Be a college sophomore
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or a registered permanent resident
  • Have a goal of becoming a print journalism professional
  • Have ties to the Mid-Atlantic/Southern region (NC, VA, MD, DC, DE, SC)
  • Be a member of a minority group - Asian, Hispanic, African-American, Native American
  • Be enrolled in a full-time course of study in a 4-year degree program
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening as required for all Landmark employees
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

  • Typed autobiography of at least 500 words
  • Work samples: a minimum of three college or professional newspaper/magazine or other work samples. NOTE: Include three copies of each work sample - Xeroxes or disks are fine as are email attachments if applying online.

AWARD INFORMATION:
  • Recipient of the scholarship will have an internship during the summer between the sophomore and junior years and again between the junior and senior years
  • $5,000 scholarship awarded after completion of each summer internship
  • Eligible for a one-year internship with full benefits after graduation
