ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
  • Dependent child, stepchild, legally adopted child or ward of an Army soldier on active duty, retired, or deceased while on active duty or after retirement. Children of Reserve or National Guard soldiers mobilized under Title 10 status for the entire academic year. Children of Gray Area Retirees are also eligible.
  • Registered in the Defense Eligibility Enrollment Reporting System (DEERS)
  • Unmarried for the entire academic year
  • Under the age of 22 on May 1, based on current academic year
  • Enrolled, accepted or pending acceptance as full time dependent undergraduate student in accredited post-secondary school
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale

SCHOLARSHIP NAME: Marine Corps Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Applicant must be:
  • The son or daughter of one of the following:
    • A U.S. Marine on active duty or in the Reserve, retired or deceased
    • A former U.S. Marine or Marine Reservist who has received an Honorable Discharge or Medical Discharge, or who was killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps
    • An active duty or reserve U.S. Navy Corpsman who is serving or has served with the U.S. Marine Corps, Or
    • A U.S. Navy Corpsman who has served with the U.S. Marine Corps and has received an Honorable Discharge, Medical Discharge, or was killed while serving in the U.S. Navy

OR

  • The grandchild of one of the following:
    • A U.S. Marine who served with the 4th Marine Division during World War II and is/was a member of their association
    • A U.S. Marine who served with the 6th Marine Division during World War II and is/was a member of their association
    • A U.S. Marine who served in the 531 Gray Ghost Squadron and is/was a member of their association

AND

  • A high school graduate,
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate in an accredited college or university, Or
  • Currently enrolled in post high school accredited vocational/technical school

AND

  • Maximum family adjusted gross income of $65,000 or less
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0

  • Must be a spouse of an Army Soldier on active duty assigned in an overseas command (not including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico)
  • Must physically reside with Soldier at the assigned location
