ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
  • Be nominated by a college faculty member, administrator, campus minister or chaplain, or current pastor.
  • In award year, be a junior or senior enrolled full-time in a program leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Be a U.S. or Canadian citizen under the age of 30
  • Have an interest in exploring ministry as a vocation
  • Demonstrate leadership ability in a church or school community

SCHOLARSHIP NAME: The Harding Scholarship
ORGANIZATION: Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MTSO)
MAJOR: Theological study in a Master's degree program at MTSO
AWARD AMOUNT: Full tuition plus $10,000 annual stipend

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
  • Nomination by a judicatory official, undergraduate faculty member or undergraduate chaplain
  • Application and acceptance in one of these MTSO master's degree programs: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Counseling Ministries, Master of Arts in Christian Education, Master of Theological Studies
  • A qualifying essay
  • A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.60 on a 4.0 scale

SCHOLARSHIP NAME: Native American Education Grant
ORGANIZATION: Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
MAJOR: Open
AWARD AMOUNT: $500 - $2,000
APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 15

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
  • Member of a Native American or Alaska Native tribe
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Preference given to active members of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
  • Enrolled full-time at a fully accredited college or university in the U.S.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Preference to students demonstrating financial need
