Study Abroad
In order that students may discover another culture, the department offers
intensive immersion programs in France and Spain. Students may earn
up to 4 hours of USCA credit, which can be applied towards the language
requirement. The course, which is normally scheduled during Maymester,
involves one or more pre-departure meetings and two weeks of intensive
language instruction . The student will be hosted by and live
and share most meals with a French or Spanish family. A limited
amount of scholarship aid is available for participants. For further
details, contact your professor or Dr. Victor Duran, chair of the department.
