|Page Last Updated: Sun Mar 23 17:11:41 EDT 2014
Need to access your email, calendar and contacts on your phone or wireless device? Setup is easy and usually just takes a few moments.
All screen shots are taken from the iPhone however the instructions are VERY similar for all wireless devices. You should be able to use the information below to set-up your device as well.
STUDENTS: The instructions on this page are for accessing @usca.edu email. @usca.edu email address are used by faculty, staff and some student worker positions only. To access your USCA student email account with an @email.usca.edu address, please follow the instructions found at: http://web.usca.edu/help-desk/current-students/email/access-student-email-from-phones.dot
Setting up your wireless device to access Exchange is simple:
- Go to Settings
- Go to Mail, Contacts and Calendars
- Go to Add Account
- Select Microsoft Exchange
This will bring you to the Exchange Account setup screen...
Complete the Exchange Setup as shown below. Just be sure to replace with your Email, Username and Password where appropriate.
The Server field will not be shown initially. Enter the other information, then click Next. After a few seconds you will be prompted for the Server as well. Enter uscamail.usca.edu as shown. Then click Done.
This will bring you to a screen asking which types of items you prefer to sync. You can currently sync both Mail, Calendars and Contacts.
To complete setup...
- Go to the Home Screen
- Go to Mail
- Select USCA Exchange under Account (be sure to select Exchange under accounts the first time, not the USCA Exchange listed under Inboxes)
After a few minutes your account will be automatically synched. How long this takes depends on the size of your mailbox and your connection type (mobile Wi-Fi or USCA wireless).
Your account is ready to use. Just select USCA Exchange from under Inboxes and you're in.
Blackberry Devices (Personally Owned)
The instructions listed above should work for your Blackberry device as well, the only difference you may have to make from your original configuration is changing the server to: USCAMAIL.USCA.EDU
Most of the settings on Androids should be the same as those listed above with the exception of Username.
On Android devices, you may need to set your Username as: USCA.EDU/username instead of simply your username.
