Voicemail

USCA uses the SpydurPBX Voicemail System.  The system allows access to your voicemail using email, the web and phone.  An app may also be available for your device.

Before you can begin using your voicemail box, you'll need to call into the system with your office phone to set the box up.

Setup your voicemail account:

  1. Dial 2451 from a campus phone
  2. Enter your voicemail box number (this may be a 5 or 6 digit number and begins with a 9)
  3. Enter your password (this will be the same as your box number the first time you sign in)
  4. You must change your password now to properly setup your voicemail box
  5. Follow the prompts to setup three greetings:
    1. your name
    2. your standard greeting
    3. your busy greeting
  6. Hang up then call yourself to leave a test voicemail (it will arrive in your email inbox shortly)

To check your voicemail message on the web:

  1. Go to: http://spydurpbx.usca.edu/recordings/
  2. Enter your voicemail box number in the Login field
  3. Enter your voicemail password in the Password field (this will be the same as your box number the first time you sign in)
  4. Click Submit

To check your messages or access voicemail by phone:

  1. Dial 3450 from any campus phone or 803-641-3450 from non-campus phones
  2. Press 1 at the “you have a mailbox on the system…” prompt
  3. Enter your voicemail box number (this may be a 5 or 6 digit number and begins with a 9)
  4. Enter your password (this will be the same as your box number the first time you sign in)
  5. Press 1

To activate Temporary Greeting when you're on vacation:

  1. Dial 3450 from any campus phone or 803-641-3450 from non-campus phones
  2. At the “if you have a mailbox on the system…” prompt, enter your voicemail box number (this may be a 5 or 6 digit number and begins with a 9)
  3. Press * as soon as your personal greeting begins to play
  4. Enter your password (you should have set this when you initially setup your box)
  5. Press 0 for "Mailbox Options"
  6. Press 4 for "Temporary Greeting"
  7. Record your temporary greeting as prompted and press # when you're done
  8. Then press 1 to accept the recorded temporary greeting or press 2 to re-record
  9. Your temporary greeting is now active, remember to go back into the "Temporary Greeting" options and follow the prompts to turn it off, once you return from vacation
