OneDrive Get Started and Setup

Stop by for a drop-in workshop and learn how to use OneDrive to backup your files to the cloud. Once there your files will be accessible from any computer or device with an internet connection.

Leave with a fully functional OneDrive!  All faculty, staff and students have access to a full 1TB of storage through their OneDrive for Business account.  Even if you haven't already set it up, we'll have Help Desk staff here to help you setup your account and connect it to up to two devices.

Length: 60 minutes

Who should attend? This workshop is for anyone who needs help setting up OneDrive on their personal device, or anyone who plans to use OneDrive on their campus owned device but would like more information before scheduling installation.

OneDrive Permissions, Sharing and Collaboration

OneDrive for Business isn't just for storing files, it's also for sharing and collaboration.  Learn how to properly set permissions on individual files and folders to grant read-only or edit access to the right people.  Find out how to share your files and folders through email, embedded links, Yammer posts and more.  Once you've granted coworkers access to your files, you can all work on individual files together online in real-time, any time, anywhere.

Lynda for Departments and Supervisors

Lynda.com's extensive library of tutorials and videos offer a terrific opportunity for USCA departments looking to increase their worker's business, inter-personal and software skills.  Supervisors can also use the library to help bridge the learning gap for new or struggling employees with self-help topics like: time management, working in teams, business writing, and more.

Come with some ideas and leave with a ready to use department playlist!  Come up with a few topics, or even specific videos, you'd like to have the members of your department train in.  We'll create a group for your department and set you up as the manager.  Then we'll walk you through adding your department members, creating your first playlist and populating it with videos.

Getting Started with Office Mix

Take your PowerPoints to a whole new level of interactivity.  Office Mix is redefining presentations in education with a simple to use free plugin for PowerPoint 2013 and higher.  Add SCORM compliant quizzes, polls and open questions.  Embed video, audio and live web pages from the web.  Record your own video, audio and live inking directly onto slides.  Then compile and upload the presentation for instant easy and secure sharing to the world, just your organization or just those individuals you want to grant access.

Who should attend? Office Mix editor plugin is currently only available for Windows. (Presentations will play on nearly any device however).  Office 2013 or Office 2016 are required to add the PowerPoint plugin.
