Manually Update Trend OfficeScan

Occasionally, you may need to manually update the Trend OfficeScan Anti-Virus software. To do so, follow the simple instructions below.

 

If needed, the Helpdesk staff can also assist you with changing the schedule. If you require assistance, contact the Helpdesk at extension 4357 (on-campus) or 803-641-3502 (off-campus). .

 



Updating Trend Anti-Virus

With your computer connected to the internet, locate the blue icon show here in your Task Tray. (It will look similar to this, but may have a slightly different yellow symbol)

Right-click the blue Trend icon and choose Update Now as shown here to begin update.





This screen will be displayed. You must click the Update Now button.















Within a minute or two, you should see this pop-up. Click OK.

Your system should now be fully updated and ready to access the USCA network.

If this is your first time updating the software, you should reboot your system. Otherwise, you should now be able to continue working without further issue.
