Apply


Incoming USCA students (freshmen) who have received a letter of invitation or who have a High School GPA of 3.5 or higher (~3.8 on the SC Uniform Grading Scale) and SAT scores of 1100 or higher (or ACT scores of 24 or higher) may apply for admission into USCA's Honors Program.  The application deadline for Fall semester is May 15.

To apply, please submit a writing sample from a recent high school course and two letters of recommendation from your high school teachers. Please use the writing guidelines below to aid in your selection of the writing sample. In addition, please submit the following information, either electronically or via mail:

  • Name
  • Mailing address
  • E-mail address
  • Class standing
  • Major
  • High School attended 
  • High School GPA
  • SAT score or ACT score

Continuing USCA students with 45 credit hours or less and a USCA GPA of 3.5 or higher may also apply to the Honors Program.  Applications for the Fall semester must be submitted by July 15, and for the Spring semester by January 31.  Continuing students must submit two letters of recommendation from USCA Professors and a writing sample from a USCA course. Again, please use the writing guidelines below for selection of the writing sample. Further, they must submit the following information:

  • Name
  • Mailing address 
  • Email address
  • Major
  • USCA GPA

Transfer students with 45 credit hours or less and a college GPA of 3.5 or higher may also apply to the USCA Honors Program.  To apply, please submit two letters of recommendation from university professors and a writing sample from a university course, based on the writing guidelines below.  In addition, transfer students should submit the following information:

  • Name
  • Mailing address
  • Email address
  • Major
  • Previous college/university
  • College GPA
