USCA's Dance Marathon!! What is Dance Marathon?? Dance Marathon is an exciting opportunity for the University of South Carolina Aiken to give back to the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). Several schools around the United States are participating in something called “Dance Marathon.” They are raising thousands of dollars every year for Children’s Medical Centers around their area. USCA held its first Dance Marathon February 1st and 2nd 2008. During the first Dance Marathon over 100 dancers participated. USCA exceeded its goal of $5000 in its first year. All money raised from Dance Marathon went to benefit the Children’s Medical Center at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. Dance Marathon combines music, food, games, children, and of course, dancing in a sixteen hour, campus-wide event. Dancers will collect donations for volunteering to stay on their feet for the entire time. All of the donations will go to our partner in Augusta, GA, the Children’s Medical Center at MCG. Help plan USCA’s second Dance Marathon! USCA’s Dance Marathon will be the first Homecoming event, starting at 6pm on Friday and going until 10am Saturday morning. For questions or concerns please contact Angel Lee at 641-3776 or angell@usca.edu, or stop by the Student Life Office in the SAC.
