Study Abroad
USCA Maymester and Summer Programs
Our campus offers a number of study abroad opportunities. There are many advantages to participating in a USCA maymester or summer program. These programs are less expensive than most summer programs offered by other institutions. USCA students pay USCA tuition plus travel expenses. Our faculty and staff work hard at keeping your travel expenses down. Groups are lead by USCA faculty. You can take USCA courses and get up to 6 credits. The following programs are planned for the upcoming maymester and summer:
A Spanish Immersion In Salamanca, Spain
School Of Business Study Abroad
USCA Study Abroad Scholarship
The scholarship
is designed to help students with their travel expenses. Several $250 scholarships
are available. All students participating in USCA study abroad programs
or in semester-long and year-long programs offered by USC, ISEP, CIEE
and other institutions are eligible to apply. Deadline for applications is April
15. Applications are available in the International Programs Office or you can
download it
online.
There are other sources of funding

International Student Exchange Program (ISEP)
Through the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), students have the opportunity to study at numerous institutions throughout Africa, Asia, Australia, Central and South America, Canada, and Europe. Participating students enroll directly into ISEP host institutions abroad and apply credit earned toward their home institutions. Outgoing students pay USC tuition, on-campus housing costs, the fee for a 21 meal/week plan or the cost of a vacation room and board. In addition, students are required to pay an application fee ($275). Transportation, books, travel, insurance, and incidental expenses are not included as ISEP benefits. However, at the host institution, academic fees are waived, and room and board are provided. Most forms of financial aid can be applied toward participation. Applications are available at the International Programs Office. For more information on the ISEP programs go to: http://www.isep.org
USC Exchange and Study Abroad Programs
The University of South Carolina offers students the opportunity to study for a year or a semester in England, Germany, France, Australia and Japan. A number of summer study abroad programs are also offered. Students pay USC tuition, on-campus housing costs and a fee for a meal plan. Students receive USC credit for courses taken abroad (pre-approved by your academic advisor). For more information on the USC programs check out http://www.sc.edu/ips/homesa.shtml
Non-USC Programs
USCA students have had very good experiences with a number of non-USC programs. The international programs office works with those students who chose outside programs to assist them in obtaining financial aid, scholarships and ease credit transfer. Click here for program list.
