Leadership Programs help students discover and enhance their leadership skills. The University believes that through quality programs, students can become effective leaders not only on campus but within the communities they live. Below is a list of leadership programs currently offered at USCA:
Emerging Leaders Class (ASUP 110): The Emerging Leaders Class is a two credit course which includes a weekend retreat, a service learning requirement, group leadership projects, readings, and participation in campus life activities. The class is an excellent way for students to improve and strengthen their leadership skills.

Student Leadership Retreat: The retreat is
designed to help student leaders on campus learn about the policies and
procedures of the university, enhance team building and leadership skills, and
foster an atmosphere of cooperation among the student leadership. All student
organizations are invited to attend. In order to receive the information for the
retreat, student organizations must have their current officer list on file in
the Student Life office.

* This year's Leadership Retreat will be held on August 9 - 10, 2006
Student Activities Leadership Awards Banquet: Sponsored by the Office of Student Activities annually, the Student Activities Leadership Awards recognize outstanding leaders among the student body, faculty, and staff. Nominations are made by students and faculty/staff. This year's banquet will be held on April 29, 2006.
Live-2-Lead: A new program on campus that helps student leaders develop their personal leadership plans. Program includes workshops, special events,
job shadowing and one-on-one mentoring.

Leadership Library: Located in the Student Life Office, the Leadership Library is filled with valuable information about many leadership issues. Materials include leadership programs, educational activities and mentoring programs. Materials may be checked out by members of the campus community.
Student Organization Officer Training Workshops: Designed for officers in student organizations, these workshops help officers do their jobs better and help them get the most out of their leadership experience.
Citizen Leadership (ASUP 210): The Citizen Leadership Class is a two credit course which focuses on applying leadership theory to active service learning experiences. Students will look at citizenship from a variety of perspectives and reflect on their roles as leaders and citizens.
