concepts in the relation of the school to the social order: an analysis
of the central features of the changing social context within American
educational policy and behavior problems.

Theories of Human Growth and Development
(3). An analysis of developmental theories and research from birth through
adulthood with emphasis on developmentally appropriate practices for teachers,
parents, counselors, and administrators. Includes an exmaination of cognitive,
emotional, physical, social, and moral development from a variety of historical
and contemporary perspectives.

(3). Emphasis on the major methods and techniques of research by students
of education.

study of the modern elementary school curriculum.

arts in the elementary schools. Emphasis on the teaching of oral and written
expression and listening.

and instructional methods in the designated areas of mathematics; exploration
of appropriate outcomes on instruction.

instructional materials used to teach social studies in the elementary/middle
