REMINDER: RISE Call for Proposals - Two workshops planned

October 05, 2017

Dear Faculty Members,

The Call for Proposals for the 2018 Research Initiative for Summer Engagement (RISE) awards has just been issued. This opportunity is for faculty in all disciplines.

As stated on the USC website:

Purpose of RISE: The Office of the Vice President for Research created RISE to assist Senior Campus faculty in enhancing their research and scholarly activities, as well as providing an opportunity for them to explore new areas of research/scholarship.

Through a competitive application process, the RISE program provides up to $6,000 to support summer scholarship for faculty including summer salary, supplies, scholarship-related travel, and student support.

The USC Aiken deadline for submission of proposals to USCERA is Dec. 11, 2017. Submitted proposals are due to USC Columbia by Dec. 12, 2017.

Complete submission guidelines, application forms and budget request forms can be accessed at
http://sc.edu/about/offices_and_divisions/research/internal_funding_awards/faculty/rise/

We have two workshops scheduled for faculty interested in this opportunity. If you are unable to attend these sessions, you may contact me with any questions. Attendance at these workshops is not required to submit a proposal. Registration for these workshops is also not required. You may just show up to learn more about this program.
