Three New Degrees Approved By The USC Board of Trustees
December 20, 2017
In one of their last official acts of 2017, the USC Board of Trustees approved our request for three new degrees: the B.S. in Applied Mathematics, the B.S. in Applied Computer Science with concentrations in Cyber Security and Applied Gaming, and the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. The next step will be approval of the programs by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education. The Board also approved the MOU with the Aiken County School District to establish the Aiken Scholar’s Academy on the USC Aiken campus.
Congratulations to the faculty, department chairs, deans, and provost for their hard work on the new programs that will provide students relevant new options while also advancing our university and region.
In just a few hours, we’ll be closing offices and preparing for the holiday break. But, as we reflect on our collective accomplishments and prepare for the Spring semester, there is much to look forward to at USC Aiken!
