USC Aiken Communications Alumni Hold Bowl-a-Thon for Scholarship

January 15, 2015

Aiken, SC – University of South Carolina Aiken Communications alumni will knock down pins at Homecoming to help raise money for a communications scholarship honoring Dr. Deidre Martin, retired Vice Chancellor of University Advancement, communications student advisor and professor. Four teams of four are committed to bowl. Alumni are encouraged to create a team or join a team on site and join in the fun.

The event will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Strikehouse Bowl, located at 2205 Whiskey Road in Aiken.

$20 per person rents a pair of shoes and buys two games and a fountain drink, with part of the proceeds going to the scholarship. Other surprises await all alumni who attend. Strikehouse Bowl has reserved all 14 lanes for Communications alumni for these two hours. The event will end in time for alumni to participate in USC Aiken homecoming events beginning in the early afternoon.
