USC Aiken to Host Third Leg of Aiken’s Triple Crown

The University of South Carolina Aiken, in conjunction with the Aiken Polo Club, will present the 14th annual Pacers and Polo, April 1, at 1 p.m., at the Powderhouse Polo Field, 820 Powderhouse Road.  In the event of inclement weather, the match will take place April 2.  

Known as the third leg of the Aiken Triple Crown, this event helps provide scholarships to USC Aiken students.

The match between Aiken Polo Club players, includes an opening ceremony; six 7-minute chukkers; a 20-minute halftime; and an awards ceremony at the end of the match.

Tickets are currently on sale.  VIP hospitality tent tickets are $60 if purchased before March 24.  VIP tickets include:  a catered lunch, an open bar, a program, and access to the Winner’s Circle.  Gates will open at 10:30 a.m., and lunch service begins at 11:30 a.m.  To purchase VIP hospitality tent tickets, call the USC Aiken Office of Advancement at 803-641-3518 or 803-641-3334.

In advance, general admission tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children.  Children under 6 are admitted free.  Adult tickets can be purchased in advance online at:  www.usca.edu/generalpolotix .

At the door, tickets are $85 for VIP tickets, and general admission for adults is $10 and $5 for children older than 6.
