Wednesday July 9th

9:00-10:00 Welcome Celebration - An introduction to USCA and an overview of the orientation program

10:10-10:40 Pacesetter Session I – Meet your Pacesetters and fellow new students for the first time

10:40-11:00 Freshmen Tradition

11:00-12:20 Faculty Facilitator Session – Meet with your Faculty Facilitator and Pacesetters to cover such topics as academic expectations, major requirements, and placement test results

12:20-1:00 Lunch with Pacesetter Group (B&E Gym)

1:00-1:50 University Survey (B&E Gym)

2:00-3:00 True Life Session I*

3:00-3:10 Break

3:10-3:55 Getting Involved at USCA – Find out how and why you should get involved at USCA
4:05-5:05 True Life Session II*

5:15-5:35 Learning the Ropes – Learn the values of the University and the do’s and dont’s of college from your Staff Facilitator

5:35-6:00 Pacesetter Session II – Wrap up

6:00 Mix n’ Mingle Dinner with Student Leaders (Pacer Crossings/Pacer Commons)

Thursday July 10th

7:30-8:15 Breakfast

7:15-8:15 Math Placement Test – Only for those who have made an appointment to take it

8:30-9:00 Pacesetter Session III: Targeting the Transition – Preview of today; Learn to make the transition to USCA; meet in your Pacesetter room

9:10-10:10 True Life Session III*

10:10-10:20 Break

10:20-11:10 Registration Session – Learn how to register for your classes

11:20-11:50 First Year Advisor Session – Connect with your advisor and learn more about the advising process

12:00-12:30 Pacesetter Session IV/Initial Schedule Preparation/E-mail Review
Prepare a tentative schedule of classes with help from your Pacesetters and Faculty
Facilitator. In addition, learn how to use your USCA e-mail account. This is also a time to ask any last minute questions before you start the Advisement and Registration process.
